Greenshift is a resource site providing a collection of useful links and material on how to make a personal transition towards a low carbon, sustainable and resilient way of life.
There is a growing world-wide awareness of the need to make a fundamental shift towards a way of living that meets human needs without harming the web of life. Climate change and peak oil can seem like overwhelming threats but they are also opportunities to rethink and make changes for the better. Greenshift aims to focus on the hope that is being generated as people come together to create innovative solutions and develop a positive vision for the future, one which is more connected, compassionate, satisfying, and fun.
Connect & Create
“In spite of current ads and slogans, the world doesn't change one person at a time. It changes as networks of relationships form among people who discover they share a common cause and vision of what's possible. This is good news for those of us intent on changing the world and creating a positive future. Rather than worry about critical mass, our work is to foster critical connections. We don't need to convince large numbers of people to change; instead, we need to connect with kindred spirits. Through these relationships, we will develop the new knowledge, practices, courage, and commitment that lead to broad-based change.” Margaret Wheatley

Bee friendly
A third of our food relies on bees for pollination so it is extremely alarming that the world's honey bees are dying off in horrifying numbers. The UK and US lost a third of their bees last year, Italy nearly a half, and the deaths are now spreading to Asia, India and China.

no more animals, no more man." Albert Einstein
